The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” visa bans issued by the US against five Europeans working on combating digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

European Leaders Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’

European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on figures that were central to efforts to introduce laws governing US-based technology firms.
